The NewCold Melbourne I facility in Australia, located in Truganina, is a fully automated high bay cold storage warehouse that began operations in 2017. It features a 35 metre high structure with a footprint of approximately 133 by 102 metres, designed to maximise storage density and efficiency through advanced automation. The site has a storage capacity of around 102,800 industrial block pallets and is equipped with eight automated stacker cranes to handle goods efficiently. It also includes 19 loading and unloading docks, two of which enable automatic truck loading, supporting streamlined logistics operations within NewCold’s integrated cold chain network.
Melbourne II
225,000 frozen/ambient/chilled
The NewCold Melbourne II facility in Australia is a fully automated high bay cold storage warehouse in Truganina that commenced operations in 2017. The site features a 43 metre high structure with a footprint of approximately 132 by 141 metres and has been expanded to a total capacity of 225,000 pallet positions, making it one of the largest automated high bay facilities in the world. It operates as a one stop shop facility with ambient, chilled, and frozen storage capabilities, including dedicated capacity for both ambient and frozen goods, and incorporates a container park to support efficient logistics. The warehouse is equipped with 17 automated stacker cranes and 42 loading and unloading docks, enabling high throughput and advanced handling within NewCold’s integrated cold chain network.
Pemulwuy (Greystanes)

The Pemulwuy (Greystanes) facility in Australia is a refrigerated warehouse that commenced operations in 2024 and serves as NewCold’s second site in New South Wales, alongside other Karras facilities across Australia. The site has a storage capacity of 14,000 pallets, supporting efficient temperature controlled logistics. It is equipped with nine loading and unloading docks, enabling streamlined handling and distribution within the regional cold chain network.
Kewdale, WA
4,200 frozen
The Western Australia facility is a refrigerated warehouse with a storage capacity of 4,200 pallets, complemented by a 600 square metre cross dock area to support efficient distribution operations. The site, which commenced operations in 2024, forms part of the Karras Cold Logistics network in Australia and was acquired by NewCold in 2023. It is equipped with six loading and unloading docks, enabling streamlined handling and integration into the broader temperature controlled logistics network.

The facility is a refrigerated warehouse with a storage capacity of 2,900 pallets, complemented by a 1,500 square metre cross dock area to support efficient distribution operations. Established in 1976, it is part of the Karras Cold Logistics network in Australia, which was acquired by NewCold in 2023. The site includes 12 loading and unloading docks, enabling effective handling and integration within the broader temperature controlled logistics network.

The Victoria facility is a refrigerated warehouse with a storage capacity of 9,000 pallets, complemented by a 1,500 square metre cross dock area to support efficient distribution operations. It forms part of the Karras Cold Logistics network in Australia, which was acquired by NewCold in 2023. The site is equipped with 16 loading and unloading docks, enabling streamlined handling and integration within the broader temperature controlled logistics network.
