We are proud to announce our sponsorship agreement with the Delft Solar Team – a partnership that brings together two organizations driven by innovation, technology, and a shared ambition to push boundaries.
At first glance, cold chain logistics and solar-powered racing may seem like different worlds. But the connection is clear. Both NewCold and the Delft Solar Team are young at heart, different by design, and committed to doing things smarter. We thrive on technical excellence, challenge conventional thinking, and focus relentlessly on sustainable solutions.
This makes the collaboration a natural match — a true meeting of minds.
In 2026, the Delft Solar Team will take on the Electrek American Solar Challenge: an eight-day, 1,500-mile open road challenge from Minneapolis to Amarillo, following iconic routes such as the Great River Road and Historic Route 66.
It is a race that pushes the limits of energy-efficient electric vehicle engineering, demanding precision, innovation, and resilience — qualities we recognize and value deeply at NewCold.
Since 2021, NewCold has been the main sponsor of the Dutch Sliding Federation (BSBN), the governing body for bobsleigh and skeleton in the Netherlands. Under the slogan Own the Ice, we are proud to support the athletes on their road toward the 2026 Winter Olympics.
As at NewCold, ice isn’t just a surface, it’s our domain. Every day, we operate at subzero temperatures to protect the world’s most trusted frozen food brands with precision, reliability, and innovation. In much the same way, the athletes of BSBN dedicate themselves to mastering the ice — harnessing speed, control, and teamwork to achieve peak performance.
Own the Ice was chosen as our shared slogan on the road toward the 2026 Winter Olympics. It perfectly captures the spirit of both worlds:
Our partnership with BSBN is more than sponsorship – it’s a shared journey toward excellence. Together, we Own the Ice!
‘’The core values of NewCold, innovation, trust, agility, and automation, are in line with the principles of top athletes, from skeleton to bobsleigh. The Dutch Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation also wants to continuously innovate with their equipment. Confidence in their own abilities plays a major role for them in every descent, both for the individual athlete and for a bobsleigh team. Although this is a non-mechanical sport and automation may not be immediately visible, we believe it is part of the whole process. Constantly perfecting the start and descent is also an automation process.’’

‘’NewCold offers the federation the opportunity to professionalize further. It gives the federation more financial resources, which means we can invest more in talent development’’.
