Key operational facts for the UK include:

 

  • 184,000 pallet positions in Corby
  • 142,800 pallet positions in Wakefield
  • 100,000 pallet movements in a single week
  • A 99.65% delivery success rate

 

These figures position Corby as the largest cold store in the UK and the largest in Europe.

 

Through continued investment in fully automated systems across both customer sites and NewCold’s own 3PL facilities, the Corby and Wakefield sites together achieve an annual pallet throughput of 4,680,000. Approximately 20,000 additional pallet positions are due to open by year-end as part of the Wakefield Phase 3 extension. It is a powerful example of how NewCold is quietly disrupting the UK and global cold chain market, setting a new standard for scale, efficiency, and reliability.
