Kimberley Bos Makes History with World Championship Gold

Kimberley Bos OLY has etched her name in the record books, becoming the first Dutch athlete to claim a world title in skeleton.

With an extraordinary display of skill and determination at the 2024 Skeleton World Championships in Lake Placid, USA, Bos delivered a record-breaking performance, securing gold with a final time of 3:40.06.

Following her silver medal finish in 2023, Bos’s relentless pursuit of excellence propelled her to the top of the podium this year. Conquering one of the most technically demanding tracks in the sport, she demonstrated that precision, preparation, and perseverance are the ultimate drivers of success.

At NewCold, we recognize these same values in everything we do—embracing innovation, pushing boundaries, and striving for excellence. Bos’s journey from a self-funded athlete balancing multiple jobs to a world champion is a testament to what can be achieved with the right combination of talent, dedication, and support.

“Without her passion, such success would have been impossible,” says her Sports Manager, Aschwin Kruders. As a proud sponsor, NewCold has played a key role in helping Bos focus entirely on her sport—enabling her to expand her team, refine her equipment, and prepare for the highest level of competition.

With this victory, Bos has set the stage for an even bigger goal: the Winter Olympics. As she builds on this momentum, we stand behind her, inspired by her resilience and commitment to being the best.

Congratulations, Kimberley, on this historic achievement!
