This completely grid-independent facility sets a new benchmark for our state-of-the-art temperature-controlled warehouses worldwide.
Completing the final lift of the high bay racking in Dinteloord marked a pivotal moment for NewCold. This facility, with its grid-independent design, reflects our commitment to innovation and sustainability, and displays the skill and expertise of our global team.
The final lift of the high bay racking, completed six weeks ahead of schedule, marked the culmination of months of hard work by NewCold, NewCold Metal Construction, TSL, and KIM. This significant achievement highlighted the exceptional teamwork, meticulous planning, and dedication of everyone involved, and showcased the teams’ ability to meet targets while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
“Safety and quality are the driving forces of this project,” said Peter Verharen, Project Director. “This was a very safe, efficient, and well-coordinated activity. Working at heights of over 40 meters, we are constantly striving to balance delivering quality with providing a safe environment for our teams.”
With a total of 134,000 pallet positions and a height of over 40 meters once completed, the warehouse is a feat of smart design and engineering. Set to be operational in spring 2025, the Dinteloord facility represents a remarkable new expansion and homecoming for NewCold in its country of origin.
