At NewCold we offer great and challenging job opportunities in around the world. We have built and operate 12 cold storages on three continents.
NewCold is delighted to be selected as a partner for a feasibility study that will design a future trial of hydrogen fuel cell trucks and refuelling infrastructure in Scotland – supporting the UK’s transition to zero emission road freight.
The feasibility study, named the Scottish Hydrogen Freight Trial, is part of a £20 million investment by the UK Department for Transport and delivered by Innovate UK. It aims to identify early adopters who have a desire to decarbonise their heavy transport. The findings will inform future vehicle and infrastructure requirements.
The results of the study will be shared with Department for Transport and Transport Scotland in a formal study report, with a view to seeing this zero-emission technology demonstrated on UK roads in the near future.
NewCold is proud to be working towards a more sustainable future and excited to play such a key role in re-envisioning the future of road transport. Find out more about New Cold’s sustainability agenda.
