NewCold’s growth story: 12 years of innovation and excellence

Breda, the Netherlands, 16 July 2024 – Twelve years ago today, with the support of close associates and the backing of Westport Capital Partners, Bram Hage founded NewCold.

The company has grown rapidly since then. From a small office in Breda with a staff of 10 and one facility in development, NewCold now has a global network that includes 18, mostly highly automated, warehouses in 10 countries.

Thanks to proprietary technology and a dedicated team of 2,400 people, NewCold is a global leader in automated temperature-controlled storage and distribution.

Global expansion and technological leadership

Under Hage’s leadership as Founder and CEO, NewCold has expanded its footprint and offering across the globe, from Europe to the USA and Australia. Further expansion will see warehouses being developed in new markets and countries, such as Canada and New Zealand, while our transport operations now serve customers in India.

Several existing facilities are expanding their capacity, including Kutno (Poland), Melbourne (Australia), and Lebanon (USA).

Hage’s strategy for NewCold has been to follow our customers and be a key partner in enabling their growth. His vision to embrace innovation has allowed NewCold to set new standards in delivering 24/7 high-level service to our customers. Today, NewCold offers storage capacity of over 1,555,700 pallet positions.
