Site focus: Kutno

Since 2015, NewCold Kutno has played a key role in strengthening frozen food supply chains in Poland and across Europe.

What began as our first warehouse in Poland has grown into one of the most advanced cold storage facilities in Central and Eastern Europe. Following a major expansion in 2024, the site now offers over 112,000 pallet positions, combining scale with high levels of automation, performance and flexibility.

“Kutno is a unique site within the NewCold network because it combines very high storage capacity with advanced automation and a broad operational scope,” says Michał Grabowski, Site Manager of Kutno. “Beyond storage, we support customers with complex, value added services that require precision, speed and absolute reliability.”

Beyond traditional cold storage, Kutno delivers value added services such as case picking, repacking, co-packing and large-scale order consolidation. As a central hub for one of Poland’s largest retail networks, the site enables short lead times, retail-ready distribution and reliable handling of complex, high-volume flows, both nationally and across borders.

“Our central location in Poland allows us to efficiently serve domestic markets while acting as a consolidation point for international supply chains,” Michał adds. “This makes Kutno a critical link between producers, retailers and distribution networks across Europe.”

Innovation is embedded in day-to-day operations, supported by advanced automation and inventory management systems. Sustainability is equally central. On-site photovoltaic installations help reduce energy consumption and emissions while maintaining the highest performance standards.

A strong example of how innovation, scale and responsibility come together to support the future of frozen food logistics.
