Strong construction progress at NewCold Sydney – Opening in 2026

Construction is moving at pace on our new Sydney development, with major structural and automation systems now well underway across the site.
Across the High Bay, racking is nearly 80% complete, all cranes are erected, and wall and roof cladding continue to advance. Across the broader facility, dock installations, fire systems, and material‑handling equipment are progressing strongly while our office is also nearing completion. Externally, key slabs, and hardstands are well progressed as we prepare for the next phase.

This Sydney facility is a major milestone for NewCold and a key addition to our East Coast network that complements our Melbourne footprint and further strengthens our rapidly expanding global network. With 100,000 pallet capacity and advanced automation, the site will support food producers and retailers with faster, more reliable, temperature‑controlled logistics. It also delivers greater capacity and flexibility in New South Wales, shorter transport legs across key supply corridors, and enhanced resilience in Australia’s national cold chain.

We’re also embedding sustainability and innovation, including:

• NSW’s first clad racking system in a freezer warehouse
• A rooftop solar array
• Modern fire protection and safety systems
• A large‑scale Aboriginal artwork on the southern elevation, bringing the façade to life through meaningful cultural storytelling
